At this month’s FLYGRLS LA at the Regent Theater in DTLA, I performed live alongside DJ Eden Hagos of Soulection and offered some words reflecting on the Women’s March live to the audience. This event was so beautiful and well done because people from all walks of life were in the audience while some of LA’s raddest and baddest female talent ran the show on the stage and killed it. In this particular talk, I spoke about how we have to remember that each of us are oppressed and oppressor in the same body and that we must constantly remind ourselves of that fact so as to not contribute to the further oppression others.
