After seeing several Portlandia episodes about the feminist bookstore, I had to go to Portland. I went last weekend and found the best breweries (Ten Barrel) and coffee (Red E) and feminism (In Other Words) and gardens (Portland has a city-wide composting system). Lisa, who is in STLS, hosted us. To quote my rather accurate friend Daniel, “men stand in line in Portland”.
