A year ago I watched the premier of Hit So Hard: The Life and Near Death of Patty Schemel (drummer for Courtney Love’s Hole) at SXSW 2011. Then I interviewed Patty for Tom Tom Magazine (http://tomtommag.com/2011/10/interview-patty-schemel/). Then I lived with Patty and her wife Christina in Silverlake (LA) for 6 months. Now the film has been picked up and has been doing incredibly well. I love this story and this film so much, made me nostalgic for riot grrrl feminism, fucked up shit and raw political rock.
