On Monday at Vista House we joined Watermelon Pictures for an important gathering of entertainment industry leaders speaking up for greater peace, justice and humanity on this planet. Many spoke about their experiences receiving backlash or losing jobs for speaking truth to power. Others galvanized around the importance of using arts and culture as a driving tool for social change. To not underestimate the power and influence of good storytelling and strong visibility. We talked about the extent to which we are able to dehumanize others so easily rather than consciously seeking oneness and empathy in our day-to-day experiences.
