“LET ME BE WATER” ALBUM. MAY 2025.

This Earth Day (April 22), award-winning artist and activist, Madame Gandhi, reveals the title track off of her upcoming album, Let Me Be Water (Out May 16th). The third single off her highly anticipated album, “Let Me Be Water” features a collaborator as legendary as the universe itself: NATURE. Taking the perspective of nature as an artist, the track samples the sounds of glaciers and pebbles in Antarctica. Remaining true to this sentiment that all the best artistic collaborations are mutual beneficial, the streaming royalties for this track will go back to EarthPercent, a charity co-founded by Brian Eno to raise funds for environmental causes, and other planetary conservation efforts. This also means that anyone can now be an activist simply by enjoying the sounds of our planet.

Madame Gandhi says of the track: “This song is absolutely a reference to climate, to protecting the planet. Let me be water – let’s identify that we are all one with nature.”

“Let Me Be Water” is a deceivingly effortless track that mingles spoken-word samples and mantra-like house vocals that meld together over glistening samples of melting glaciers recorded by Madame Gandhi herself. The song is a musing on the album’s greater theme of appreciating the grandeur of nature and recognizing our collective role in this greater force. With an addictive percussive background percolating over words of wisdom, Madame Gandhi highlights the ways in which our lives are intertwined with the natural world around us, reminding us “Nature has made it so easy for us / It’s such a humbling place to just exist”.

Co-produced and performed by Gandhi and composed by 50 women and gender-expansive creatives with the intention of appreciating both the expansive beauty of nature and humanity’s role in our environment, the upcoming Let Me Be Water album is the ultimate act of collaboration. Whether you’re dancing, celebrating, working out, or just getting your day going, the organic symphonic wonderland of Madame Gandhi champions the spirit of undeterred love, connection, and empowerment.
