This year I DJed the Ms. Foundation Gala in NYC. It was an honor to hear from women around the country about the work they are doing for trans women, women of color and immigrant women. I was so moved by how long Ms. has survived and how much of a leader Gloria and Teresa have been in identifying leaders of today’s movement and supporting them over decades. I gave HRC and Gloria big hugs and got to thank them in person for inspiring the lyrics to my songs Her and The Future is Female. “We will not go back.”
