SXSW was an absolute whirlwind and success this year. It was my 7th year and I felt so joyful to be able to share my knowledge on both modern feminism as well as the future of the music industry while playing numerous music showcases. I played on stages hosted by Amazon, TechCrunch, SheShreds, Moog, FADER, Boss Babes ATX, BE Conferences, SoulCycle and TOMS. It was epic. Besides growing the project tremendously and reaching new heights as a musician, the highlight for me was how many men came up to me after each show. This was the first time where more often than not, it was the men who came up post show to tell me how moving it all was. This is when I felt even more on my path. Empathy is the most effective tool in garnering social change and music is the best medium for this. The future is female.
