Along the way, French soul singer ILHAME dropped a superb and sexy sneak peek performance of her latest material, all in anticipation of Bay Area deejay SANTERO, who came through strong with an uptempo mix of current Latin and African street sounds. The night sent out an amazing month of March in great style, leaving us all ready for more… …and Afro Funke’ aims sky high this week with the highly touted German deejay/production team blowing up the global dance music scene through their affiliation with the Eighteenth Street Lounge (ESL) music label. The Ancient Astronauts return once again from the far reaches of the musical cosmos with their stellar new sophomore album. Released by ESL Music in early 2011, Into Bass and Time sees the Astronauts take their vintage-meets-future block party aesthetic and blast off to new frontiers. The Astronauts are not alone in their journey however, as they bring along a solid crew of MCs, vocalists, and turntablists for the intergalactic ride.
