Taking “Sex Equality” this semester at Harvard Law School with Professor Catharine MacKinnon (Fall 2014) :

My friend Wendy in LA approached me a few months ago and described a short film she was working on. She told me about multiple experiences she had had in Barcelona where men would flash her and frighten her by exposing their parts to her. She analyzed her reaction and her relationship to these experiences closely and was left wondering why it is that a man flashing himself to a woman feels scary and agressive, when the reverse is always always in the man’s favor, to his pleasure. She created this short piece to reclaim her control over male sexuality and to explore her own “virginity” in these types of situations.
